All those promises you make to other people, Those promise you follow through with, for other people, Because you want to be the good person, the good friend, the one who cares. But what about the promises you keep promising yourself??? On one day and many days, you make another promise to yourself, then the very next day, even the next minute, you drop that promise to yourself. Because, well, it's just you, and it doesn't matter. Well it does, it matters more than anything else. Imagine if with all the promises you made to yourself, you followed through with, Imagine what life would be like, look like now, if you kept that promise to yourself. Imagine if you treated yourself just as you do your friends with whom you keep a promise to. Stop hating on yourself. Stop thinking you're not worth keeping a promise to. Stop thinking you don't matter. Just stop. You are so worth it...100% Time for yourself, to do the things that are right for you, that lead you to the next part of you, Are deserved to be followed through with. Put your hand over your heart, cross your heart, that you deserve to reach new heights for yourself, within yourself. You're the only one putting a stop to it. No one else is. Cross your heart to put time aside for the things that matter for you. Cross your heart to put your energy into things and people who deserve it. Cross your heart to make yourself a priority as much as you do others. And I'm not talking about promises like making your bed, keeping the house clean & tidy bla bla bla... I'm talking about all the things that will actually make a shift, a difference from within and in your world. From the relationships you have, the life you build for yourself, the work you do, the activities that bring joy into your space, the way you want to feel and move through life..these things matter and will be the things that make the difference today, tomorrow and beyond. Cross your heart every day...make that promise to yourself every morning and take those steps, So that when you lay your head down at night you feel successful in your choices, And so that when you wake the very next day, you're ready to repeat.
