GIVE TO YOURSELF, SO YOU CAN GIVE TO OTHERS...

Probably the only gym selfie you will see of me... I took one and only one and believe it or not, I'm actually feeling good in this photo haha.

However...this morning, it was a different story. I've set myself a challenge, ok actually no, not a challenge, I'm creating new habits for myself, so they become apart of me, apart of my every day. I love working out. It's something I've done time and time again over the years, not to change my body as such (that just comes with it naturally), but because it makes me feel good. Only thing is I will do it for a year or so, then stop, as I have always let external & internal things take over me, get the better of me and working out gets put on the back burner.

Last week, there were a couple of times I didn't' want to go, just because, but I did. This morning, I really didn't want to go... I actually decided I wasn't going until about 5 min before we were about to walk out the door. I realised I was letting my emotions get in the way. I had made a promise to myself, and I was going to let my damn emotions get the better of me...no freaking way. Not this time, so I flipped the birdie at the idea of staying home and got ready.

It's not easy to take control of your emotions sometimes (especially when you've got your flow on...and no I'm not talking about your energy flow either people) Yet, if you can allow yourself to recognise the emotion, the underlying reason that's stopping you from doing what you really want, then you have the chance to make another choice for yourself in that very moment.

You have the ability to take the reins on the way you react to things, your emotions, who you let into your space, what you allow into your mind, how you treat your body etc...you really do! The more you exercise the muscle of your mind, the stronger it will become....don't give up.

Make a promise to yourself to look after you first. Feed your mind with good words, music, good conversations. Feed your body with movement, stillness, good food Feed your soul with nature, laughter and good times. When you look after your mind, body & soul first...you will have so much more to give others.
