GIVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO GO!

Give yourself the permission to go! There was so much of me who was waiting for someone else to give me the permission to be who I wanted to be. I often looked for permission through a look, a comment, a conversation. And there were so many times that I let what someone else thought of me, stop me and hold me back. Their opinion made me question who I thought I wanted to be. I let their idea of who they thought, expected or wanted me to be more important than how I wanted me to be. I remember the day I told my boss that I was pregnant and will be leaving. He said a few things that day, but one sentence that hit me hard was 'You will never be rich' Ha interesting comment to make to women who's pregnant to start with...but it's how he saw me, because I was young, and well apparently, in his eyes, all young pregnant woman don't go far. This sentence I held onto me as truth for myself for way to long. Until I decided to flip it, reframe what rich actually means to me. Don't worry I know what he was meaning by it... But my meaning of rich, is so much richer, and I'm working on becoming rich in every area of my life. I've given myself permission to do this. Just as I've given myself permission to do many things now, because I'm the only one who can give that to me. People throughout life will say things, we can't change that, but we can change how we receive it. It's up to us to really know our truth, To be able to put our hand up to words that we don't want as our own.
