HAVE URGENCY WITHIN THE PATIENCE.

Patience is such a practice.

We want for things right now, yesterday, last week.

We want the outcome not too long after the decisions been made.

Sitting with patience is testing,

It tests us on how much we want, for what we say we want.

Will we wait or will we see what we can do to jump the queue just to settle us,

To give us a sense of progress,

A sense of satisfaction of some form.

We can place a timeline on our patience, saying that's long enough, I've been patient long enough.

Yet that's not patience, not true patience.

True patience sits in the discomfort,

It knows no timeline,

It knows no shortcuts,

It really only knows trust.

And while you sit intentionally with your patience,

Live with urgency.

Not in the way of pushing, forcing or rushing,

But more so in the way of doing & living for what you can do today, for today.

Live with purpose & stay committed.

Be moved by what speaks to you, by what you hear quietly,

And never by what you think you should.

Say what you wish to say, to those you wish to say it to,

Hug those next to you, and hold a little longer,

Give your full self to those you sit and speak with,

Don't wait another day longer to take a step towards your dream, thinking it's too far away - let yourself be one step closer each day.

In one breath we're living like we're running out of time,

In the next, we live like we have all the time in the world,

And usually with each breath being given to the opposite to what we know to be true, forgetting how fragile, how fleeting, how precious this life really is.
