Heal those relationships that are important to you.

Is there someone who was apart of your life for sometime, yet you haven't spoken to them in months, even years, because of some disagreement or falling out?
Yet if you were able to put that feeling of that situation to the side for a moment...Do you still wish you could talk to them, see them, have them be apart of your life again?
If the answer is yes....then call them, txt them, write them a letter... Get in contact with them and tell them that you're thinking of them and that you miss them.
I know you probably feel frustrated, angry and let down over what may have happened, maybe you don't feel it's up to you to make the first move, but in every situation, we can all take some responsibility - responsibility for ourselves. And why not be the one to show the way, open the door of communication up again. Yeah it may be awkward, you may not get a response, or even the response you were hoping for. But at least you will know that you tried, you took responsibility for your part and now it's up to them to take responsibility for their part.
Share your thoughts in a kind and loving way (without the blame) on how things made you feel - if you want to. But be sure to tell them that you care about them, that you miss them, and that you'd love to have them back in your life again. And if you do, give them space, don't expect anything in return, do it because you really want to have that relationship back in your life.
Life is too short to have unfinished business. So take the time to mend those relationships that you desire, It could be the most amazing moment and feeling for you both.
P.S I shared this with a lady not too long ago and she got in touch with her Dad after quite some time. The outcome was a beautiful relationship that they are both committed to having and strengthening - You couldn't ask for anything more than that, and now they have a lifetime ahead of them to enjoy.
