I'VE PICKED MY CAMERA BACK UP...

I’ve picked my camera back up…. Yes, you read that right. Since putting it down, after some time I noticed things just weren’t feeling right. It took me a while to understand what, and why things weren’t flowing and I realised it was because I wasn’t creating in the way that I need to create. I am still coaching…and coaching some incredible women at that too, however at the same time it’s important that I allow myself to create and share. Coaching alone doesn’t give me the expression that I, as an individual require within myself. So lately I have been re-studying photography. I am building a new portfolio of work that I am excited about, that is more simple, more art, more of what draws me in to the work. I want to photograph women who WANT to be photographed. Who wish to be celebrated for who they are now, who they are becoming or un-becoming, who wish to be seen in this very moment for themselves. They are the women who I want to photograph and who I have always enjoyed photographing. I do not care for business photography - But there are some incredible photographers who I can recommend you for this. So if anyone asks for headshots, this is not something I do now. This time took me on a bit of a artist journey you could say…stepping away to bring me back with more clarity on the direction I wish to take. It’s not easy stepping back up to what you stepped away from….yes others opinions popped into my mind, but in the end, as always….I follow what is right for me in each given moment. So with that, I have some photoshoots set up all ready to go…which I am looking forward to creating images for these ladies. These portraits will be apart of my new portfolio.
