LITTLE BY LITTLE, BIT BY BIT, PIECE BY PIECE

Little by little, Bit by bit, Piece by piece We get to adjust things as we go. Us crazy little humans can become so used to being one way, That trying things another way, thinking there could possibly be another way, can find our minds throwing a wobbly. We can become so used to chaos that sitting in peace can be challenging, We can become so used to peace that it can take only a little to throw our mind into a spinning wheel. We can become so reliant on one person, we're unsure how to decide for ourselves, We can become so set in our own ways of making all the decisions in life, that loosening the reins for another to lead can feel like a fight. We can become so hard that we feel that if we soften we will be seen as weak or taken for granted, We can become so soft that we feel that if we show any strength that we will be classed as too much. We can become so accustomed to how everyone else is doing things in the world, that we loose sight on what our own soul truly desires. We want, yet sometimes we can't receive, We want, yet sometimes we can't give. We want, and so it requires refining. Little by little, Bit by bit, Piece by piece We get to adjust things as we go. We get to try things on for size to see if it fits, We get to look at where we are and take a 360 stroll around it to see it from all angles, To see what, where, how else can it be. We get to take 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there to sit in the spaces that we wish to be, All while allowing the uneasy feelings to come through, to see if we have it in us to hold ourselves in that moment. And as we let ourselves adjust one piece at a time, With less rush, less pushing, less urgency, Before you know it, the puzzle of life starts to come together. That is until... Another piece of the puzzle falls away, goes missing, get's eaten by the dog.... And you're back to adjusting again. Because life is always changing, so the sooner we become available to adjusting to life as it ticks along, the sooner we become at peace within again.
