NOT ON MY CLOCK!

We all know just how fast life can tick by...one moment people are preparing for the world to end as the clock ticks over to the year 2000 (who even started that crazy talk anyway haha) to now, with the end of 2023 insight. The clock will keep ticking! We can sit around and repeat our ways over and over again, but that clock will never stop, the years will not slow down and your dreams, your desires will never die either. I was sitting chatting with one of my kids the other day and a very 'society driven' comment was spoken...a thought of 'Ahhh no...Not on my clock' came through, which took on another conversation of itself. One that looked at things from a different angle, other view points to see that there are other ways to look at it. I love these conversations as they get to hear different perpectives and decide for themselves what feels good for them (and not how they think it should be due to others, me included). It got me thinking about all other things that we accept as just is, Accept ways in which maybe we should just put up with a certain thing, let it be, sweep it under the rug so to speak, or even such things as how we show up for ourselves because maybe it seems too hard, too much effort, will take too much time or it's considered normal as those around you are the same. But what if we looked at things a little different... like... 'Not on my clock' How you may have allowed people to speak to you, you now decide 'Not on my clock' How you normally put yourself last but now, 'Not on my clock' How you turn your back on your dreams, goals & needs to now, 'Not on my clock' How you believe things get to be different, yet the fear of loosing others holds you back, yet now 'Not on my clock' How for so long you've looked at, spoken badly of that amazing machine of yours (your body) to now deciding, 'Not on my clock' How you keep ticking off the list of everything else, yet running out of time to just enjoy the fun that life has on offer for you, and now you think 'Not on my clock' How you see your future self who possibly seems very different to who you are now, in the way that she/he lives or simply just 'be' in the world and now you decide 'Not on my clock' You see, those words can give you back your power....'Not on my clock' so you can begin to start choosing things that land so well for you, for your wellbeing, for your future. It puts you back in the priority seat of your own life. Yes it takes practice...but everytime you're faced with something that doesn't sit well with you, remember these words and make your next move, your next decision from there. There will be times that 'Not on my clock' is spoken (to yourself) with a strong strength when you feel absoultely done with something and other times it will be filled with so much grace, love & certainty. You get to decide now what you're no longer willing to put up with...whether that be someone elses bullshit or simply your own. So for as long as your clock is still ticking, it's never too late to do right by you. Keep those promises to yourself, become the human you've always wanted to be so then at least you know you've just added more greatness to the world. It's in each and everyone of us...we are not separate...we are all one. And so keep listening to those little whispers, keep seeing where you wish for change to be, keep remembering how your future looks, learn from others, use your own discernment and decide what no longer happens on your clock.
