SAYING WHAT YOU REALLY WANT ISN’T ALWAYS EASY.

Just this week, there was something I felt strongly about, and something I felt was right for myself. But it meant someone else not getting exactly what they may want. I was holding back, I was feeling tight in my chest. I could feel deep down what it was I really wanted and I just needed to have a conversation. But I was finding it challenging to voice it, All because I didn’t want the other person to get upset. I was worried about their reaction and feelings.

It took giving myself the time and space to really feel into it all, And to trust what I wanted was right for me. I questioned my own feelings and looked at the different outcomes.

Checking in with your feelings around it all, Voicing what you want, Let’s people know what you stand for and teaches them how to treat you. It also creates better relationships, because people learn what to expect from you. If we keep giving in to what others want of us, When it doesn’t work or feel right for us, Then that’s when resentment can creep in.

We all know exactly what we want, We can feel it, So know it’s totally ok to voice what you want, regardless of how others may react. We are not responsible for other people’s feelings or reactions.

As it turned out …..it all worked out just fine and everyone felt ok about the outcome.

Finding your voice, Tuning into your feelings and what you truly want, Is the best way to relate to others. Tip toeing around people isn’t.
